MFDS proposes to modify parts of the Regulation on Declaration and Inspection of Imported Foods

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) has published Announcement No. 2024-250 with the intention to modify parts of the regulations regarding the declaration and inspection of imported foods.
The focus is on the following actions:
1. improve the process of applying for the planned import of raw materials used for the production of the company's own products and raw materials used for foreign exchange acquisitions;
2. implement precision inspection and random sampling of kidney beans, millet, red beans, persimmons, burdock, and pumpkin from China.
