Commission authorizes 3′-Sialyllactose sodium salt as a novel food

On the 9th of April 2024, the European Commission (EC) authorized the placing on the market of 3′-Sialyllactose sodium salt produced using a derivative strain of Escherichia coli W (ATCC 9637) as a novel food.

The novel food is authorized with proprietary data protection for a period of 5 years from the 30th of April.
