Proposal to amend rules on official controls for imported food and feed

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) and Food Standards Scotland (FSS) have open a public consultation on proposed amendments to the lists in the Annexes of Assimilated Regulation n. 2019/1793, which applies a temporary increase of official controls and special conditions governing the entry into Great Britain of specified food and feed of non-animal origin from specified countries.
The proposed amendments involve 25 updates to the lists contained in Annexes I and II of Assimilated Regulation n. 2019/1793, which set out the higher risk food and feed of non-animal origin that are subject to enhanced border controls.
