MFDS proposes partial amendment of the Standards for equipments, containers and packaging

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) issued Notice No. 2024-97 about a partial revision of the "Standards and Specifications for equipments, containers and packaging".
The main highlights of the revision are listed below:
- Improvement of printing standards for food contact surfaces of food utensils;
- Improvement of arsenic quantitative analysis method by applying calibration curve;
- Improvement of some deficiencies in the wording of standards and specifications, such as clarifying the wording to ensure consistency and uniformity.
