The National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA in Portuguese) has published Normative Instruction - IN No. 262/2023 which amends IN No. 159/2022 establishing the lists of plant parts authorized for the preparation of teas and for use as spices.
Here below the news:
- Red and green Roobois (Aspalathus linearis (Burm.f.) R. Dahlgren) stalk and leaves are added to the existing list of plant parts allowed in tea preparation.
- Indonesian Cinammon (Cinnamomum burmannii) peel is added to the existing list of plant parts authorized for use as spices.
The entry into force is the 1st of November 2023.
