BFSA publishes draft Regulation on Food Fortification

The Bangladesh Food Safety Authority has published the "Draft Food Fortification Regulation, 2023."
The draft regulation on fortification mainly deals with mandatory and voluntary food fortification, as well as technological aspects, packaging and labelling requirements, micronutrient compliance, registration and statutory action for food fortification.
In Schedule I the level of micronutrient in food to be mandatorily added is specified and in Schedule II the level of micronutrient in food for voluntary food fortification is specified.
