FSANZ authorizes new enzyme as a processing aid

The purpose of the Application is to permit the use of beta-amylase sourced from soybean (Glycine max) as a processing aid (enzyme) in starch processing for maltose syrup production.

Once FSANZ has notified the FMM of its decision, the FMM has 60 days to either request FSANZ to review the approved standard or inform FSANZ that it does not intend to request a review.
