Government creates Brunei Darussalam Food Authority (BDFA)

It will be the regulatory and competent authority to supervise the safety and quality of food in the country, as of January 1, 2021.
According to a statement from Brunei's Ministry of Health on Saturday, the vision of the BDFA is to ensure that the food products in Brunei are safe, clean and of good quality, ultimately ensuring and protecting consumer safety and health.
"Thus, the mission of the BDFA is to establish a robust food regulatory and safety system in Brunei to support the vision," the statement said.
