FSSAI extends the transition period for compliance with calcium and magnesium limits to the standards of packaged drinking water (other than mineral water) under these regulations

Representations have been received from the stakeholders regarding transition period for the compliance of limits of Calcium and Magnesium for the standards of Packaged Drinking Water (other than Mineral Water) under these regulations.
After due consideration of the representations received from the stakeholders, it has been decided that the timeline for the implementation of clause 2 (b) of the notification related to the limit of Calcium and Magnesium in Packaged Drinking Water (other than Mineral Water), is extended for a further period of six months i.e. up to 1st July, 2020.
