New requirements for labeling organic products

The State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection issued new organic food labeling requirements. A mandatory element of organic food labeling is the code number placed under the national organic food logo. Organic products may only be sold by commercial entities that have a valid certificate (or a copy thereof) issued by the producer and comply with the labeling requirements in accordance with organic production legislation.
