SENASA requires that organic products must be certified organic

The Ministry of Agricultural Development and Irrigation of Peru, through the National Agrarian Health Service of Peru (SENASA in Spanish), has informed that products labeled as "organic/biological/ecological" must be certified by an authorized entity in order to verify its organic characteristics.
Moreover, organic product labels shall bear the following statement: "the product complies with the technical regulations for organic products", and shall declare the name and registration number of the certifying body.
