The World Health Organization (WHO) has released a new guideline advocating for fiscal policies aimed at fostering healthier dietary habits worldwide. Published today, the guideline emphasizes the use of taxes on unhealthy foods like sugar-sweetened beverages to reduce consumption, while subsidies on nutritious foods such as fruits and vegetables aim to make healthier choices more affordable.
