Draft Import and Export Control Regulation that includes food

The Department of Imports and Exports Control has published the Draft Imports and Exports Control (Standardization and Quality Control) Regulations 2024. It is compulsory for importers to comply with the standards of the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI) with regard to importing food commodities specified in Schedule I (A), Column III, Serial No 1 to 48 and Schedule I (B), Column III, Serial No.128 to 131.
