The General Law for Adequate and Sustainable Diet enters into force

On April 17, a presidential decree was published in the Official Gazette of the Federation, by which the General Law on Adequate and Sustainable Diet was issued, with the purpose of establishing the principles and bases for the promotion, protection, respect and guarantee of an adequate and sustainable diet.
The new Law, composed of 111 articles, also aims to strengthen food security as well as to prioritize the right to health, environment, water and the best interests of children.
