Application on the use of a GMO for production of 2′-Fucosyllactose (2′-FL) and use in infant formulas

The Food Standards Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ) has published the application A1283 2′-FL which seeks to amend the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code to permit a new genetically modified source organism Corynebacterium glutamicum for the production of 2′-Fucosyllactose (2′-FL) for use in infant formula products.
The application review should end in August 2024.
