New standard for High-calorie Low-nutrients foods

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) has issued Notice No 2023-59 on "Standards for the nutritional content of high-calorie, low-nutrient foods". The purpose of this notification is to contribute to the prevention of obesity in children and the creation of a healthy food environment by stipulating standards for the nutritional components of high-calorie and low-nutrient foods in accordance with Article 8 of the Special Law on Management of Children's Food Safety.
