National safety standards for the importation of infant formulas and other products

The General Administration of Customs published Announcement No. 136 of 2022 on the implementation of the inspection requirements of the national food safety standard for the import of infant formula food, processed cheese and other products.
From the date of implementation of the new national standard, foreign enterprises will produce food for export to China in accordance with the new national standard. Products produced and imported before the implementation date of the new national standard that comply with the original national standard can continue to be imported and sold within the guarantee period in accordance with the implementation of the national standard and the rules of the World Trade Organization.
