Compliance timeline extended for calcium and magnesium limits in packaged drinking water

Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has decided to extend the application period File No. SS-M015/1/2022-Standard FSSAI dated 30.05.2022, operationalizing Draft Food Safety and Standards (Food Product Standards and Food Additives) Amendment Regulations with. the values of Total Dissolved Solids, Calcium and Magnesium, and subsequent direction dated 21.06.2022.
After due consideration of the representations, the FSSAI has decided to further extend the timeline for the compliance related to limits of Calcium and Magnesium for the standards of Packaged Drinking Water (other than Mineral Water to 1 July 2023.
