The Ministry of Health Partially Amends Compositional Standards for Milk and Milk Products

The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW)(åçå´åç) of Japan has issued the "Partial Amendment of Ministerial Ordinance on Milk and Milk products Concerning Compositional Standards, etc.(MHW Ordinance No. 112 of 2020)."
Content of the amendment:
The definition of milk remains exploited as "raw milk";
Definition of "raw milk" is added to definition of milk, processed milk and some dairy products;
New standards are established for dairy products containing raw milk or buffalo milk;
Changes are effective from the publication date.
