Ministry of Food and Drug Safety Issues New Standard for Food Utensils, Containers and Packages

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety of Korea released the "Standards and Specifications for Food Utensils, Containers and Packages (No. 2020-43)"
Changes involved are the following:
Segmentation and maintenance of common manufacturing standards
Clarification of recycling standards for synthetic resins
Maintenance of common standards, specifications for each application, and compliance judgment
Improvement of testing methods for utensils, containers, and packaging
The document repeals the Standard (No. 2019-2) from January 09, 2019 and enters into force from the date of its publication.
