A federal judge suspended the publication of the Mexican government standard for the new food and beverage front labeling that seeks to combat obesity.
The Business Coordinating Council (CCE in Spanish) confirmed that the Seventh District Court in Administrative Matters granted Wednesday to the National Confederation of Industrial Chambers (CONCAMIN in Spanish) the provisional suspension of the development of the Official Mexican Standard 051, so its publication and entry into vigor "for the moment it is paralyzed".
