Amendment to include a new enzyme in infant formulas and supplements

Food Standards Australia & New Zealand published a draft amendment to include in the Food Standards Code the enzyme 2'-fucosillactose (2'-FL), produced by microbial fermentation using genetically modified strains of Escherichia coli (E. coli), with applications in infant formula products, such as supplemental formula and formulated foods for young children (FSFYC).
