Procedures and response times for sanitary registration updated

The Food and Beverage Regulation Directorate attached to the National Health Regulation Authority has published the CIRCULAR ANRS-DRAB-MDML-006-24-12-2024, which updates the procedures for New Registration, Renewals, Mutual Recognition of Food and Beverages.

The relevant aspects are:

• A maximum of 5 applications per day per legal representative are admitted for New Registration, Renewals, Mutual Recognition of Food and Beverages and complementary information in cases of non-admission.
• The admission of a maximum of 5 applications per day per legal representative is established for the procedures of modifications to the sanitary registration.
• The process of the pre-evaluation stage is implemented for the different requests for procedures, which will be carried out in person.
• A maximum of 15 working days from the date of issuance of the rejection of the application for sanitary registration in the pre-evaluation stage is established to submit additional information.
• A maximum of 60 working days is established to issue the evaluation report of the sanitary registration application.
