FSANZ reviews new application on Steviol glycosides

The Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) has completed an administrative assessment and accepted the following application on A1318 - Steviol glycosides produced by enzymatic conversion using enzymes produced by GM Escherichia coli BL21. This application seek approval for rebaudioside M (a steviol glycoside) produced by the enzymatic conversion method, using enzymes derived from genetically modified Escherichia coli BL21.
