Brazil introduces new rules for food contact materials

On the 9th of April 2024, the Brazilian Ministry of Health and the National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published the RDC Nº 854 on the reuquirements for food contact materials.
The Resolution covers all materials that come into contact with food and its raw materials during production, preparation, transport, distribution, and storage. ANVISA has given producers and manufacturers 180 days to comply with the new requirements.
