Draft update of the MERCOSUR Technical Regulation on Polyethylene Terephthalate Containers has been published

The National Directorate of Technical Regulations has published the Draft Resolution No. 07/24- “MERCOSUR Technical Regulation on Food Grade Recycled Postconsumer Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) Containers (Food Grade PET-PCR) intended to be in Contact with Food (Repeal of Resolution GMC No. 30/07)”. Draft Resolution No. 07/24 is an update of Resolution GMC No. 30/07 “MERCOSUR Technical Regulations on Food Grade Recycled Postconsumer Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) Containers (PET-Food Grade PET-PCR) intended to be in Contact with Food”, which particularly modifies the requirements for some chemical recycling processes.
