New requirements for food contact materials

The Ministry of Health of Ukraine has published a draft order "On Approval of Special Requirements for Plastic Materials and Articles Intended to Come into Contact with Foodstuffs".
The draft Order introduces new requirements for plastic materials and articles intended for contact with food, as well as a list of substances authorized for use in the production of such materials and articles. It is also established that products made of plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs produced before the entry into force of the Order may be in circulation until their expiry date.
