New requirements for food contact packaging and utensils in the Food Code

The Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries and Secretariat of Quality in Health has published Joint Resolution 20/2023 and Joint Resolution 22/2023 amending the Argentine Food Code to incorporate Article 1416 related requirements:
- Sanitary authorization of food containers and utensils in contact with food.
- Sanitary authorization of the establishments that elaborate, fractionate or deposit containers and food utensils in contact with food.
A period of 1 year will be granted for the adaptation of the interested parties.
