Products/ingredients with vitamins and/or minerals above an RDA will not be regulated under food regulation

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) issued a notice regarding the application that were received for approval of the products/ ingredients formulated with vitamins and/or minerals above one RDA level. As per this notice, the products/ ingredients formulated with vitamins and /or minerals above one RDA level shall not be considered for approval under the Food Safety and Standards (Approval for Non-specified Food and Food Ingredients) Regulations, 2017.
