National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA), published Guide n. 55, for the evaluation of health and functional claims for bioactive substances present in food and food supplements.
This document expresses the Agency's understanding of the best practices for the instruction of applications for approval of benefits related to bioactive substances present in food. Its objective is to help the applicant to qualify the information to present and, thus, speed up the process, avoiding technical requirements and increasing the number of favorable decisions.
The document is already current, that is, it can be used as a reference by those interested in submitting an evaluation request, but it will be available for contributions for one year from 12/7.
