SAMR issues guidance for evaluating scientific evidence for health claims

The State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), has published the “Technical Guidelines for the Evaluation of Scientific Evidence of Health Function Claims for Food Ingredients.” (T/CNSS 031-2024). The group standard aims to further promote health based on scientific and standardized evaluation of health function claims of food ingredients.

This group standard mainly includes the scientific basis for health food functional claims, basic principles of scientific evidence evaluation, literature collection methods, evaluation procedures, strength of evidence, recommendations, etc.
