The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is requesting recommendations from interested parties concerning foods that should be added to or removed from the list of bioengineered foods. Specifically, information is requested on whether beans, wheat, cowpeas, golden rice, purple tomatoes, and plums should be added.
AMS annually reviews its list of bioengineered foods to make sure that it is up-to-date. Deadline for comments is April 29, 2024.
