BPOM updates Regulation on Genetically Engineered Food Products

The National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM in Indonesian) has issued BPOM Regulation No. 19 of 2024 on the Supervision of Genetically Modified Food Products, which repeals BPOM Regulation No. 6 of 2018 and takes effect immediately. The updated regulation applies to all genetically modified (GM) food products sold on the Indonesian market.
