New requirements for the use of health claims

The National Administration of Medicines, Food and Medical Technology (ANMAT in Spanish) has published Provision 8095/2023 which establishes the requirements for health claims on packaged foods and beverages. The Provision establishes that the requirements established for the submission of proposed health claims must be complied with in order to be submitted to the competent health authority prior to the granting and/or updating of the National Food Product Register (RNPA in Spanish) for food and non-alcoholic beverages.
