Authorizes marketing of food with registration in other regional headquarters

The Intendancy of Montevideo (IM in Spanish) has decided to authorize until March 1, 2025, the commercialization of food products produced in other departments and with current registration in those departments. The process of creating the Single National Registry of Food, Companies and Vehicles (RUNAEV in Spanish) implies the mutual recognition, by all departmental governments, of the current bromatological authorizations and registrations.

The implementation of the RUNAEV is about to begin and, in this sense, the authorization by the MI for the marketing of food with current registration in other departments will simplify the administrative procedures for food companies in the interior of the country.

In addition, it generates greater diligence in the management of product registration applications from food companies in Montevideo, facilitates commercial activity and guarantees the safety of new products during the transition to the implementation of the new system.
