New drafts of updated technical standards on allergen detection

The National Institute for Standardization (INN in Spanish) has published for public consultation 3 draft standards related to the detection of allergens in foods.

The drafts under consultation:

  • prNCh3455/1. Food products. Detection of food allergens by immunological methods. Part 1: General considerations.
  • prNCh3439/1. Food products. Detection of food allergens by molecular biology methods. Part 1: General considerations.
  • prNCh3439/2. Food products. Detection of food allergens by molecular biology methods. Part 2: Celery (Apium graveolens). Detection of a specific DNA sequence in cooked sausages by real-time PCR.
