Amendment on nutrition and health claims

The draft regulation submitted by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), aims to amend the 2021 Regulation related to revision in respect of criteria, applicability and content nutrition and health claims Regulations, 2021.
The amendments are related to the following topics:
- Reduction of disease risk claims
- Trade mark, brand name or fancy name
- Nutrient content
- Claims regarding the non-addition of sodium salts to a food
- Claims regarding the non-addition of additives
- Conditions for the use of nutrition and health claims
