Safety assessment for kratom foods required by FDA

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reports that kratom leaves do not require a permit, while water and tea are classified as herbs, however, food products containing kratom ingredients must pass a food safety assessment and undergo the product labeling clearance process by the Agency according to the conditions of the Ministry of Public Health Notification (No. 376) B.E.2559 (Novel Foods) B.E.
